There are many solenoid motors that can be found on the Internet and most are intricate mechanical devices built by machinists. If your not a qualified machinist and would like to build a solenoid motor then this video is for you. The solenoid motor is built from a VCR video head, 12VDC solenoid, LM311 comparator, TIP120 transistor, white LED, CDS cell, IN4001 diode and a few resistors.This is very easy to build and cost less then 10 dollars. Just remember there is nothing you can't do so just do it.

Cheap but acceptable Panasonic stereo turntable
Today's .99 thrift store find: a Panasonic SG-X7 early '90s stereo system with radio, turntable, and cassette. Just like my larger Panasonic stereo from 1994 that I featured in a previous video, this one is built with very cheap and lightweight plastic materials, but the quality of all the components is surprisingly good. I really like the styling on this one, too, including the "digital" tuner dial scale, the "concealed" turntable, and the cassette button-style function controls.

1986 Sanyo GXT-255 chip stereo system
A really cool looking and well equipped stereo system from the 1980s. The turntable looks and feels cheap, but uses a magnetic cartridge, so the audio quality is pretty good. After some cleaning and adjustments, it all works well for its age, although the tuner keeps forgetting its presets whenever I turn off the power. I also got it with a matching rack on wheels with a glass door and storage space for LPs, which I may show in a future video.
